Daniel 12:1: At
that time . . . there will be a time of distress such as never occurred
since there was a nation until that time. Matthew 24:21: For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. There will be a period of GREAT TRIBULATION such as has never occurred before. Many believe that the rapture will happen prior to the SEVEN YEARS OF GREAT TRIBULATION prophesied by Daniel in the Old Testament, but what I have read and understood is that the TRIBULATION PERIOD has two halves....each is 3.5 years. I say this because my Bible research tells me that, " - "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." So, the Seven years of GREAT TRIBULATION will be cut short by God - for the sake of the elect or Christ followers. And the Bible tells of a 3.5 year period where Satan shall rule the earth completely and the Holy Spirit along with all of the Christ followers will be gone - which means the rapture will take place and then Satan is left to really bring tribulation to those who remain. |
